Sunflowers! To me they are one of the happiest flowers in the garden. They can get very large if they grow from basic sunflower seeds, I learned by the seeds pushed out of the bird feeder! However, you can even find them along the road growing wild and much smaller. Anderson Farms, A local farm near my home, is having a Sunflower festival where you can pick your own sunflowers from their 15 acres of sunflowers. They have over 17 varieties! I didn't have a chance to make it over. I've had many friends that went, and their photos were amazing! It's on my list for next summer!
However, my August 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit arrived last week and didn't disappoint! Sweet Sunflowers is amazing! The artwork on the envelopes, and the card front, and backs are so stunning! I made the three card variations that are in the kit, but I cut up the rest of the cards in two in order to make variations of my own at next week's Monthly Kit Gathering here at my home on August 26! The bonus gold foil honeycomb's are so pretty - I am going to find it difficult to use them!
I think my favorite has to be the card front with two softly water-colored sunflowers. It's amazingly simply by only adding a vellum honeycomb cut out, a small strip of Blackberry Bliss printed paper, a sentiment label and two small bees! And it's so very pretty!
