Doggone Friendly Cards

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, January 17, 2024

Happy Wednesday!  The cold front that came through this weekend was brutal.  Our friends in Montana reported having -50 egads!  We were at -25 on Saturday.  I spent most of my day close to the gas fireplace to stay warm and toasty!  We were dog sitting this weekend and it was a tad chilly to go out for a potty break.  Poor Baylen wasn't that interested in staying outside for long either - lol!

Today's Facebook Live featured a delightful stamp set that features many common dog breeds.  Baylen is a Shih tzu and his breed is featured on the left side of the stamp!

Crafting with one large overall stamp design is perfect for creating multiple cards.  All it takes is a clever die!  I created my 2 for 1 cards from one stamped image using the Doggone Friendly Cling Stamp and used the double circle die from the Everyday Details Dies to cut a center circle of dogs and used that circle for the second card! Easy Peasy!!

These 2 cards were made with Ink, Stamp, Paper, twine, sequins and the new Stampin' Brayer!  I brought out my One Horse Open Sliegh 6" x 6" Designer Series paper and discovered that it's no longer available in the Online Exclusives - oh no!  I really like the reverse side of many of the prints.  Maybe  I'll be hoarding what I have left - lol!  My apologies if you are interested in either of the prints.  I'll be checking with Stampin' Up! next week to see if I need to add them to my upcoming retired product sale.

Click Here to replay Wednesday's Facebook Live to watch how I made the two sweet dog cards. Youmay want to move forward to 16 minutes in as I started sharing the cards without changing the screen - lol!  Here are photos of the other 2 sets of doggie cards made that evening!

I made two more cards from this stamp set and dies - one version in Crumb Cake and the other in Gray Granite.

This Crumb Cake version features a sweet Shih tzu!

This version uses the largest double rectangle from the Everyday Details Dies and popped the middle rectangle up with Stampin' Dimensionals

Next Wednesday's Facebook Live will showcase the Everday Details Cling Stamp Set and the Everyday Details Dies.  Come craft along with me next week at 6:30pm (mt)!

I rescheduled my retired products sale to Saturday, 2/3!  I did something to my knee last week and I've been having troubles getting to and from the basement to complete my inventory.  I have made progress in getting closer to turning up my retired products online shop.  so close!!!!

Enjoy your weekend!  I hope you have time to spend in your craft room and create something beautiful.  Take care and ....

KEEP ON CRAFTING!
