Crafty Collaborations Crafty Challenge - 9/25/23

Today's Crafty Challenge Blog Hop is inspired by an image of vintage books along with 4 rich colors:  Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Gold Foil.  I decided to use supplies that everyone may have in their crafting supplies, paper, ink and maybe, Gold Embossing powder!  I pulled out a fun fold card layout that I used for a recent card class as it was perfect to make some books!  

Not everyone is a fan of embossing powder, however, the Crafty Collaboration's Crafty Challenge for the month of September that was provided screamed for it!  LOL!!

Today's card is a fun fold that has flaps to open to the inside of the card.  

Each flap is a book spine that reveals the inside sentiment of the card!  

I had a little vintage fun for the inside sentiment by distressing Very Vanilla paper with Crumb Cake and a Blending Brush, stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso and adhered inside.  I added a border from the Queen Bee Cling Stamp Set with gold embossing at the bottom.  

The new All About Autumn 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper that debuted on 9/6 in the new 2023 September - December mini catalog has two lovely book prints that showcase a photo of vintage books.  This paper was extremely popular and has sold out.  However, it will be back in stock the week of October 9th.  Be sure to order your paper pack - or maybe 2 or 3!  These prints are perfect for your fall projects.

So if you are looking for something a bit simpler, just replace this beautiful DSP with the colored card stock that I used for the embossed images.
