Happy Saturday! It's been a busy week with hubby home from work for the long holiday weekend! The 4th of July holiday was a little bit chilly here in Frederick, CO, wind and rain - but the Town of Firestone's display from our backyard did not disappoint. I'm glad I checked to see if they were cancelling as they moved it up from 9:30 pm to 9pm and we almost missed it. We were out front watching the myriad of neighbors celebrating with fireworks! I hope you had a great 4th!
This week's Facebook Live was another mystery! It was one of those "what in the world would I play with today" kind of day. With hubby of through Wednesday, I postponed my Facebook Live until Thursday so we could spend his last day off with friends for dinner.
With the new products introduced into the Online Exclusives online store, I decided it was a great time to bring out my One Horse Open Sleigh Suite Collection to create with. I went way over on time, so if you do watch the replay, and I hope that you do, feel free to fast forward through to see your favorite card! We made 5 cards during the live. My phone almost ran out of juice, so I didn't put any sentiments on the card fronts or insides. I finished that up this afternoon and picked the horse & sleigh card to feature in today's blog!
This new suite is perfect for your holiday cards! The paper truly does all the work. The only stamping on this pretty card is the horse & sleigh and the inside sentiment. This is a fairly easy card for a beginner as it is minimal stamping, constructing and a little bit of coloring with Stampin' Blends. Stampin' Blends make you feel like a true artist! When I worked on this today, I redid my card front. Instead of using the Basic White Pearlized Enamel Effect drops on the snowbanks, I used them on the lights around the trees and along the cabin face. I like it much better.
