My mom celebrated her 88th birthday yesterday.  She has had a bit of a tough year so she was deserving of a very special card to bring a smile to her face.  July's birthstone is the Ruby - so Real Red was the color of choice!  And what better stamp set to make a special lady, a special birthday card than the Friendship Royalty Photopolymer Stamp Set.

The Radiating Stitches Dies make a fantastic frame for any special image or Designer Series Paper that you want to call attention to.  In this case, I thought the red hearts print in Real Red from the Regals 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper needed that extra special attention.  The large radiating rectangular die on the Real Red cardstock made the 1st frame, and the smaller radiating rectangular die on the DSP made the 2nd frame.  The fun stitched rectangular die from the Nested Essentials Dies made for a perfect sentiment tag.  White embossing powder really made the sentiment pop.  Silver embossing powdering made for a truly royal crown embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  Five medium rhinestones were colored with Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends marker to get a deep ruby red color!  Lastly, some silver threads pulled from a piece of silver Simply Elegant Trim finished off the cards design.  Do you think she will like it?

You can adapt this card in any color scheme to match a particular month's birthstone.  Stampin' Up! has such a wide array of beautiful, coordinating colored paper, ink and embellishments to make your special birthday card for your special Birthday Queen!

Here is a photo of another Birthday card made from Friendship Royalty using the larger crown.  This crown is fit for a Queen in gold glitter and glitz!  The card front was made with the Dry Embossed 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, More Dazzle 6" x 6" Specialty Paper, and gold embossing powder!  So many crowns, so little time - lol!
