Fragrant Flowers Bundle

 Hello from snowy and cold Frederick, Colorado.  We returned from our 7 day Caribbean cruise on Sunday.  It was so nice to have some warm, sunny days just laying by the pool and relaxing in the thermal suites for a couple of hours each day while on the ship.  I put in a lot of walking without really leaving the ship!  11K steps a day just walking the ships decks back and forth from my mother's room, our room and where ever she wanted to set for a while.  

Now it's time to be back to reality though!  It's so cold still in Colorado and with our snowest month's still yet to come!  Today, hubby had me bundle up early this morning so we could sit in the steam/hot tub at the rec center as he had a snow day.  I've been struggling to get back in the swing of Stampin' Up! things - but slowly I'm picking up steam. 

Today's Facebook Live showcased the lovely Fragrant Flowers Bundle and the coordinating SAB Favored Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  

I was fast and furiously designing cards last night - finishing up sentiments this morning after we got home from breakfast.  I'm late getting the blog posted this afternoon - but better late than never!  I have to say though this lovely bundle and paper are so easy to design fast cards with as it's all about the paper.  In fact, the card today has very little stamping - it's all about the paper and the dies.  

I made up the first sample using the Calypso Coral/Petal Pink floral paper for today's live.

The card today used the large floral paper on the bottom left and I cut out the large floral sprays along the edges of the paper - not the full spray.  This way you can have more floral sprays to design with!  I aligned the cut edge of the spray with the edge of the card background - perfect for any designer series paper that has partial images!

The new 2023 January - April Catalog introduced a major option for shopping bundles that I'm not sure I have shared before or you have noticed in the catalog or the online store.  Many of the bundles now come with an option of Cling Stamps or Photopolymer Stamps.  Many stampers definitely have a preference for their stamps - mine is Photopolymer.  Although, sometimes I do go for the more detailed stamped image of a nice rubber stamp.  I chose the Fragrant Flowers Cling Stamp Set for my bundle!  I love the details that the rubber stamp provides for the large and small florals.

I enjoyed using the embossing die (only embosses the design - doesn't cut through the paper) that comes in the Fragrant Flowers Dies.  It adds a special touch, especially when dry embossed on Gold Foil Sheets.

The solid floral dies coordinate with the large floral spray DSP so you can easily cut out out lots of flowers to embellish your projects.  The large sentiment label is stitched.  I love the extra touch that stitched labels add to sentiments.  I used Adhesive Sheets on my gold foil to cut out extra leaves and buds so that they are easy to adhere to the card front of my other card designs.  

I used the Go to Greetings Cling Stamp Set (page 26 from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog) for the card's outer sentiment as the fonts are so elegant and are perfect for gold embossing.  This set has you covered for those basic sentiments for all occasion cards in 3 different fancy fonts.

Here are my other samples I created last night from the Fragrant Flowers Bundle and Favored Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper that I shared in today's live.  Credit to Patty Bennett as I cased the Calypso Coral/Petal Pink and Gorgeous Grape/Fresh Freesia blended background cards from her.  I added the floral spray cutouts and my choice of sentiments to make it my own!
