Ginkgo Branch Thinking of You Card

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, December 21, 2022

Brrr!  Baby, it's cold outside!   It's -5 at 8pm in Frederick, Colorado tonight.  I'm really bummed as my youngest son, David, was to arrive tonight from NYC at 11pm.  Yesterday, he received notification that his flight was cancelled.  We immediately rebooked him on a Friday afternoon flight - crossing our fingers that he will be able to fly in then.  I'm hoping that you are staying warm and cozy in your home and not having issues with heat and power during this "Winter Bomb Cyclone" that is hitting a majority of the United States.

My today's Facebook Live showcased the new Gingko Branch Bundle that will debut on 1/5/23 in the new 2023 January - April Mini Catalog.  If you ordered from me in the last 6 months, you should have your catalogs in your mailbox shortly.  I heard from one of my customers on Saturday, that her catalog had arrived.  You must flip to page 57 and check this pretty bundle out!

The Ginkgo Branch Cling Stamp set is a Distinktive stamp set that includes 3 images and 4 sentiments.  Get photo-realistic style images with Distinktive stamps, available only from Stampin’ Up!  Distinktive stamps have a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step. They’re available in red rubber and photopolymer; look for the Distinktive icon in the Stampin' Up! catalogs.  Distinktive patent pending.

The Ginkgo Branch dies coordinate with the stamp images from the stamp set including the large cluster of branches, a small 2 leaf branch and a single leaf branch.  There is a large outline of branches, a small leaf outline branch, a label for sentiments.

This card was made with Fresh Freesia cardstock, designer series paper, shimmer paper and ink.  The plaid dsp is from the new Dandy Designs 12" x 12" DSP from the new Sale-A-Bration catalog (see page 14).  This dsp is free with a $100 online order from 1/5/23 - 2/28/23 while supplies last.  This is a large DSP pack of 48 pieces (4 each of 12 double sided designs).  The colors are soft and full of spring!  The coordinating Stampin' Up! colors are:

The Fine Shimmer 12" x 12" paper pack is on page 15 in the mini catalog.  It's one of the coordinating products from the Fancy Flora Suite Collection.  The paper pack contains three pieces of paper:  1 Fresh Freesia, 1 Soft Succulent and 1 Gold.  Oh my - the shimmer on this beautiful paper is absolutely Gorgeous!!!!

I made a couple of more cards to add to my stash with this pretty bundle that I shared on my live today.  In the sympathy card below, I used the large outline die with the Fresh Freesia Fine Shimmer paper.  I used Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends to create an easy background.

In the Thinking of You card below, I used the smaller outline die to cut out multiple leaves from the 2022 - 2024 In Color 6" x 6" glimmer paper for the purple ginkgo's (Orchid Oasis) and the spikey leaf (Parakeet Party from the Poppy Moments Dies), and Daffodil Delight ink blending on basic white and then brushed with Wink of Stella.  I used 2022 - 2024 In Color 6" x 6 Designer Series paper in Orchid Oasis for the background.  I colored the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.  I colored Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Light Orchid Oasis Stampin' Blends and Dark Daffodil Stampin' Blends.

Which card is your favorite?  Each one is different and has it's own appeal - right?  This bundle drew my attention when I took my first walk through the new mini catalog.  If you weren't able to join the Facebook Live today, you can catch the replay here.

I'm working on carving out time to design samples for my upcoming new catalog launch party.  It's been a challenge to stay focused on Christmas preparations this last week versus hiding out in my studio playing with my new stamps, dies, and papers.  How are you coming along with your preparations?  We are down to the last 4 days!  EEEEE!!!

Stay warm and cozy, enjoy your Christmas holiday with your loved ones and find some time to get into your studio to unwind ...

KEEP ON CRAFTING!
