Celebrate with Tags

Home sweet Home!  I love traveling, I truly do!  But there is something about coming home and sleeping in your own bed with your own happy pillow - right?  Our cruise was fabulous.  Universal Orlando was fun, but I got motion sickness and it cut our fun short.  I realized that I am more a It's a Small World rider at Disney than The Mummy or Harry Potter Castle rider at Universal.  We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out at Harry Potter World Diagon Alley and Universal Walk enjoying ice cream cones by the canal watching people walk by.  We definitely would go back to Quebec City and walk the city streets!  

This last weekend I was in Dallas at On Stage - Stampin' Up!'s yearly convention celebrating demonstrator achievements and showcasing the upcoming 2023 Mini Catalog.  This was my first face to face On Stage event and it was a blast.  Thursday, I met up with Joey Hartman, my upline at Love field in Dallas.  Friday, we met two wonderful demonstrators, Michele Pelkey and Daune Cotter (pronounced Dawn) in the hotel's coffee shop.  We spent the entire day talking about stamping, families, and the excitement of attending On Stage.  Saturday was the big day!  Kim Swanson, one of our teammates from Joey's Love to Create team, joined us at our table with our new friends, Michele and Daune.  We enthusiastically watched fabulous demonstrations of beautiful new products launching in January 2023, celebrated Joey's $300K lifetime recognition (a big surprise to her), swapped cards with other demonstrators, and received major swag from Stampin' Up!  It was a great first face to face event!  

I participated in 3 different swaps over the weekend.  I attended a card class on Saturday evening with Joey that had an organized swap that required of 12.  I entered the Crafty Collaborations group swap that required 6 cards.  Lastly, I swapped another 12 cards at the actual event on Saturday!  I've been enjoying looking at the many varied swap cards I received!  Two were gift card holders with sewing kits inside - brilliant!  

This is my swap card I made for the event.  I worked diligently Wednesday evening after coming home from our cruise to get 30 swap cards completed.  I love Purple and Gold!  I had made some of these adorable mittens for Joey and my 12 Weeks of Christmas projects and thought purple/gold and mittens - there is a Christmas card there!  

Celebrate with Tags Bundle

Instructions to make this card:  

• Cut Basic White Cardstock at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Score at 4 1/4". 
• Cut Gorgeous Grape Cardstock at 5 1/4" x 4".  Adhere to the card front. 
• Cut Gold Foil Sheet at 5 1/4" x 3 3/8".  Dry emboss using the snowflake Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  Die cut the oval in the center with lines around the edge of the oval die from Framed Florets Dies.  
• Cut Basic White Cardstock at 5" x 3 1/4".  Adhere to the Gold Foil. Stamp the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink from Framed and Festive stamp set. Wrap 3/8" Gold and Vanilla Ribbon along the bottom of the gold foil.  Adhere to the card front.   
• Stamp two mittens with Gorgeous Grape Ink from Celebrate with tags stamp set.  Embellish with Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls.  Adhere to the card front with dimensionals. 
• Stamp "to you and yours this Christmas" sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set with Black Tuxedo Memento Ink.

 The weather here in Colorado has really turned frosty as well!  Wednesday night is going to get down to 6 degrees.   I keep telling myself it's not January - it's only November and Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away!  Are you ready?  I hope that you can take some time to spend time in your crafting room between preparations for the big day!  Have a great week!
