Spooky Treats

Fall is almost here - yipee!  Two more days and it will be the 1st day of Autumn!  I'm anxious to get out my sweaters, but our hot summer weather in Colorado is hanging on - so no sweater wearing yet!  

October is quickly approaching!  I've been playing with some of my Halloween products and really wanted to get to working on some treat boxes this week.  We are going on a Fall cruise departing out of Quebec City next month and will be on board sailing down the Atlantic Coast for Halloween.  Tonight, I told my hubby, these treat boxes will make great surprises to gift to crew members that we want to appreciate during our trip!   I busted open my September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Spooky Treats - this afternoon and dove in this evening.  The kit contained all the supplies to make three adorable Halloween themed boxes that I will fill with candy treats and take along on the cruise.  

My favorite box is the White/Orange Spider web with the hanging spider box. The opened spider design allows the candy to show through.  

The next box is a Fresh Freesia and White box combination with bats stamped in Orchid Oasis with the perfect sentiment for Halloween - Trick or Treat!!!!

  

The last box is the traditional Orange and Black themed colors embellished with a Ghost and a sentiment "Enjoy this spooky treat".   

I went to my online store this evening to look refill kits.  I don't see them offered yet.  If you are interested in getting a refill kit if you missed ordering this cutie, I'll keep a watch out and post a heads up when I see that they have made their way there!  

I saved one of the box combinations to reengineer the box so I can make more using Christmas themed paper (like Boughs of Holly 12" x 12" DSP) for Christmas treat boxes to gift to friends and family this holiday season.  They would make excellent craft fair treat boxes too!

I've joined a group of crafters that participate in Tutorial Bundles on a monthly basis.  I entered a product themed based tutorial this month.  For my wonderful customers, during the month of September, this tutorial bundle is free to you with your $50 order (please use September's host code KF9VTB3H) as a thank you from me!  This is a fantastic way to provide you inspiration and introduce you to some of the beautiful Stampin' Up! products.  Tonight, I just submitted my October entry for a larger monthly tutorial bundle that I'll have available for next month.  I used one of the fun Stampin' Up! I hosted my second Stamp A Stack Christmas Card this last weekend.  This second session was particularly challenging with 5 over the top cards - lots of heat embossing, lots of die cuts and embellishments.  Everyone's cards turned out awesome - great job to the crafters that attended!  I'll be working on the third series which will be on Saturday, October 15. 

Next week, Thursday, 9/29, I'll be offering an afternoon card class from 1pm - 5pm mt showcasing the Ringed with Nature Bundle.  This class will be using the retired Ringed with Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper that was offered in the recent Sale-A-Bration.  This was such a favorite - that I ordered a few extra paper packs.  One lucky student will receive a pack for free!  Click Here to register by Thursday, 9/22.  I'll be posting an updated class schedule later this week as I plan out the next 3 months of classes.  Watch this week's newsletter for more details!

I harvested more from the garden this afternoon.  The cucumbers are still going strong, the tomatoes are sadly done, and the peppers are somewhere between.  I was surprised at how many jalapenos I had from the one small plant that the basil overshadowed.  I'll be harvesting the basil next week and freeze more to gift!  And I think it's time to put the garden to bed.
