Driving By

It's been great soup weather this last week.  I was gearing up for our COVID Booster this week, so I made us some Chicken Noodle Soup and tried a new recipe for Cassoulet.  Both were MMM good!  What is your go to soup for a chilly day?  

I had some fun on Friday night, by breaking out the Stampin' Blends for a coloring session while we watched the Mandalorian.  I never got around to watching it before.  I knew my hubby would like this one after I watched it.  It was a perfect series for me to color along too - I knew I wouldn't miss too much by watching it before him - lol!  

I used another Sale-A-Bration stamp set - Driving By!  What fun it was to come up with different combinations for the vans, beetle bugs and sports cars!  My favorite is the van!  So reminiscent from my childhood with flower power and Scooby Do!  We are heading to Kauai the end of February, so it was perfect for a bit of island magic paired with the Paradise Palms Cling Stamp Set.

I liked the coastal colors of Pool Party and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color my van.  I used the small cluster of trees, grass and sun stamps from Paradise Palms Cling Stamps on the Basic White die cut rectangle (from Nature's Thoughts Dies).  I die cut the border from the Palms Dies and backed it with Mossy Meadow.

I embellished my van with some Flower Power by using the smallest flowers from Loose Flower Flourishes.  I attached the three - Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, and Polished Pink with one Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside of this tropical themed card, I stamped the largest Palm Tree Trunk, and coordinating Palm, grass and coconuts.

Continuing with the adorable cars in the Driving By Cling Stamp Set, I had fun making Valentine's day cards with the Beetle Bug and Sports car stamps.  I used Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color my cars.  I fussy cut the presents away from the Beetle Bug and the balloons away from the Sports Car in order to single out the cars and then added my floating hearts.  I used the Sweet Talk 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper for the background of the Blusing Bride card front.  I embossed the Basic White background for the cars and hearts with the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders to add some texture.  I die cut hearts from Real Red, Blushing Bride and Highland Heather from the Sweet Hearts Dies.  I pulled out Gold & Rose Gold 6" x 6" Metallic Specialty Paper to add a few glittering hearts for some bling!

Leaving you with another bit of inspiration from the Sale-A-Bration catalog using a Free stamp set called Island Vibes - free with a $50 purchase.  I see lots of tropical fun with this one - the Pineapple alone is fabulous to decorate cards, scrapbook pages, and 3d projects!

I cased from the 2022 January - June catalog but changed it up a bit by using this pretty DSP from the In Good Taste 12" x 12" Designer Series Pack.  I loved the faux mother of pearl inlay in the tile.  I changed my sentiment for a different birthday sentiment in White Embossing on Basic Black paper for a bit of a pop!  I also added the new gorgeous Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels!
