Another beautiful summer weekend! What a great weekend to connect with friends. I got to see my High School BFF - we haven't connected for years - it was so wonderful to be able to catch up and reminisce! Then we spent time with one of my husband's best friends and his wife and had some wonderful pizza and yummy rum and coke! We hadn't seen them since a year ago July do to all of the craziness from COVID and just darn schedules. Today was started off at the Carbon Valley Rec Center - another place we have avoided since COVID. It was great to spend some time together doing something healthy and relaxing (yest hot tub and steam room were open and it was empty this morning - even better!) What did you do this weekend? It's hard to believe we are going into the last week of July!
I spent a little time harvesting from the garden tonight! Egads - the cucumbers are multiplying. Tom ran and got me some dill so I'll be making some refrigerator pickles tomorrow after work. And my Salsa Chilies - another oh my - where did they all come from. I only needed two to make some salsa tonight. I don't have enough red tomatoes yet - I have lots of green ones - so hopefully in a few weeks I can make some really fresh salsa. So for now I'll have to free my chili's for a later day!
While in the garden, I spied a couple of butterflies and dragonflies! I love these guys - they just flit around all colorful. My little hummingbird friend even made a visit. On the really hot days, he seems to shy away - but not the butterflies and dragonflies. I pulled out my Dragonfly Garden Bundle a few weeks back and cased a card from the catalog. I used this for a recent host party and swap cards for a team meeting. So thought I would share with you tonight! I just love the dragonflies in this bundle - Dragonfly Garden Stamp set and the Dragonfly Punch.
