Hydrangea Hill

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, April 18, 2021

Hello Crafters!  Loving the spring weather along with the Spring Snow!  Grass is turning green, trees and bushes are budding, it won't be long!  What have you been crafting to welcome Springtime!  Flowers, pastels, baby animals?  All of the above?

I was so excited to spend the night Friday at my BFF's where we were able to catch up on life and spend sometime crafting.  I was able to finish up some projects that have been sitting on my crafting table.  I played with Hey Birthday Chick, Ice Cream Suite, and the beautiful Hydrangea Hill Suite.  I had a team swap on Tuesday night that I had started two beautiful cards from this lovely suite; one with pinks and purples and one with blues and purples.  I fell in love with the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper.

I used my blending brushes to make my Hydrangea flowers by blending Highland Heather and Misty Moonlight for the Blue/Purple flower heads and Flirty Flamingo and Heather Highland for the Pink/Purple flower heads.  The Flower Head die from the Hydrangea dies is so detailed.  A little effort is required to pop out the flower petals on the flower head - but the effort is well worth it!  I added a little Wink of Stella on each petal cluster to add a little extra glimmer and shine!  I used the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Specialty Designer Series paper as a border for the blue/purple card and a background under the pink/purple card.  I just love this specialty DSP!  A tip when using this paper:  There is a clear film backing that you need to pill off from the back before using.

I'm going to feature these two cards in my upcoming May Monthly Card Class.  Now that I have received my second COVID vaccine, I'm going to begin holding card classes once again - limit of 6.  For those that are out of state, I'll have kits and tutorials available for purchase as well!  Watch your upcoming newsletter for more details this week.

The new 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalogs will be arriving in your mailbox very soon!  If you are not on my mailing list and would like to request a catalog, please fill out the Catalog Request form by selecting the drop down Menu item titled "Catalogs" from my  blogsite and select "Request a Catalog".  I'll pop a catalog in the mail to you within the week.  Don't miss out on this beautiful catalog for not only a closer view of all the beautiful new and returning products, but the fabulous inspiration of cards and projects!

Did you have a chance to read last week's newsletter?  I posted photos of my Big Box contents from my recent preorder from the new 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalog.  So many fantastic new products.  I am so excited to begin working on  samples to showcase the products from my big box!  The 2021 - 2022 In Colors are gorgeous!!!!  Due to delays in product shipments to Stampin' Up, not all the pre order products were available with my first order - however, they are on their way this week!  The In Color Designer Series Paper will be fabulous for using as backgrounds from many of the new stamp sets and die sets.  If you haven't yet signed up for my weekly newsletter, select drop down Menu item titled "Connect with Me" from my blogsite and select Subscribe to My Newsletter.  This will add you to my newsletter distribution so you don't miss out on breaking news and my Monthly Prize Patrol!  Easy-peasy!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 15 for my new product launch and retiring product sale - Open House at my home from 10 am - 2pm.   I'll have two make & takes using new products and retiring products including stamp sets, dies sets, paper, ribbons and embellishments.  I have a few items never used - shame on me!!!  For those not able to come to the Open House, I'll post a list with photos and you can contact me via email and I can ship to you!   I'll also have a list of upcoming classes/events.  It will be a great time!  I am hoping for good weather so we might be able to be out on the back patio to enjoy some Springtime!

Have you placed your product orders from the Last Chance List?  Just three more weeks to order from the current 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalog and the retiring products will be gone for good!  There a few items in low inventory, or are already gone.  Please reach out to me if your having issues finding a product on my online order site.  I can search to determine if it is no longer available.  Please use the April Host Code when your order is under $150 - P4XK4HPX.

Have you been to the Clearance site lately?  New products were added last week - there are some great deals on products posted in the online store.  Supplies are limited so if you see something you like, please place your order!  Please use the April Host Code when placing your order under $150 - P4XK4HPX

The April Paper Pumpkin kits should be on their way to your home this week.  The final component to the kit arrived last week and kit billing began on 4/16.  I checked my orders on Friday, and a few of my customer's kits were shipped.  I am so excited to receive my kit as I was playing with my Ice Cream Suite this weekend.  I had a great time with my BFF making different combinations of popsicles!  Putting them in my stash - they may come in handy for my So Cool kit.

The May Paper Pumpkin is a fun summer themed project - Batter Up!  Order your kit from 4/11 - May 10.  This kit will be perfect for those masculine projects or for any baseball fan.  The supplies provided in your kit can be used to create a fantastic Little League scrapbook page!

The kit contains enough supplies to make 9 cards - 3 each of 3 designs - and coordinating envelopes.  The coordinating colors will be:  Basic White, Bumblebee, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Real Red, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede.  The best part ever: the kit comes with official bubble gum of the MLB!  What a great surprise to slide into the card for that special baseball fan!

All Paper Pumpkin kits come with a ink spot, a smaller version of a normal sized Classic Stampin' Pad, glue dots and dimensionals.  The only thing that you need to provide is your Stampin' Seal, Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips!

Please use the April Code when placing your order under $150 - P4XK4HPX

If your order is over $150, you will want to collect your Stampin' Up! rewards to include in your order!

Talking about kits...  Kits are a great way to get started stamping for beginners or sometimes they can help us to get our crafting mojo back.  Stampin' Up is going to offer more kits starting in May online only - they will not be in the catalog.  You will be able find them at my online store under kits.  I'll be advertising a Kit event each month starting in June.  Pick your kit that you want to work on or share a kit with your friend - it will just be a fun way to craft and share creative ways to alter the kits if you are a bit more adventurous!

I hope you are able to get out and enjoy some fresh Springtime air this coming week.  Get some inspiration for your crafting by watching the season change.  Another Springtime snow storm on its way - but the green will peek through along with the tulips, daffodils and hyacinths!

I'll be creating a few samples with my new products this week and organizing for upcoming May Open House.  Can't wait to see you, my crafting friends!!!

Keep on Crafting!
