Color & Contour Bundle and 2021 - 2022 In Colors

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, April 27, 2021

Happy Tuesday!  Wishing you all a happy last week of April!  And Mother's Day is upon us.  My hubby and I are always saying where does the week go by and here it is 4 months have gone by!

Have you received your new 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalogs in the mail?  I hope you are enjoying all the beautiful projects from the new and returning favorite products.  Which ones are your favorite?  Pansy Petals?  Beauty of the Earth?  Your A Peach?  Expressions in Ink?  Hand Penned?  Simply Elegant?  What about those In Colors?  It's all so beautiful!!!

This weekend I spent time working with my new In Colors and I'm so in love with them!  Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Polished Pink!  And the new Color & Contour Bundle is perfect to showcase these gorgeous colors.  I am casing this card designed by Kylie Bertucci.  She designed her card in Fresh Freesia and I thought - wow I could do one in each of the new colors to share with you how beautiful they truly are!

The Color & Contour Bundle includes the Color & Contour stamp set and the Scalloped Contours Dies.  The stamp set includes artistic florals including the image that I used on my cards - a flower stock of 3 flowers and a bud.   The images include an outline stamp and then a solid stamp to use in two step stamping for the floral stock, a cute daisy, a leaf, a bud, and a "splotch".  I love the font of the sentiments (5 different sentiments) - all very artistic!  The dies include 5 different sized scalloped rectangles some stitched, a die for the floral stock and one for a cute daisy and a scalloped border edge.  The tag is my favorite part of the card.  This is the new Elegant Tag Punch.

I learned an awesome trick in lengthening the size of the tag.  Cut your tag the length that you would like by the width of the tag in the punch.  instead of putting the tag through the top and cutting the entire tag, place one end of the tag from the outside in the bottom portion of the tag and punch, then place the upper part of the tag in the top portion of the tag from the outside and punch.  Voila!  You have a custom length tag!  Come to my New Catalog Launch/Retiring Product Sale party on 5/15 and try this out in a make and take!  See details in upcoming newsletter.

The new In Colors come in each of the following products:  8 1/2" x 11" cardstock, 12" x 12" cardstock, Classic Stamp Pads, Classic Stampin' Ink Refills, Stampin' Write Markers, Stampin' Blends, 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, Open Weave Ribbon, and new with this catalog:  Loose Flower Flourishes, Jewels (my favorite), Shimmer Vellum, and Ombre Gift Bags.

Here is how to put this beautiful card together - this would make a great Mother's Day card!

Card Base:  4 1/4" x 11 In color cardstock, scored at 5 1/2"
1st Layer:  4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Basic White Cardstock - die cut with the largest scalloped rectangle
2nd Layer:  4" x 5" In color cardstock - die cut with the second largest scalloped rectangle.  Stamp the outlined Floral Stock image with same In Color, then follow up with the shaded 3 flower/bud solid stamp with the same In Color.  Adhere to the 1st Layer with Stampin' Seal.
Tag:  1 3/4" x 4" Basic White cardstock.  Create a custom length tag with the Elegant Tag Punch.  Stamp the outlined Floral Stock image with the same In Color, then follow up with the shaded 3 flower/bud solid stamp with the same In Color stamped off once.  Embellish the tag with the matching In Color ribbon tied in a knot and follow up with either the Gold or Silver Simply Elegant Trim with a bow tie.  Attach to center of the 2nd Layer with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere the layers to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Sentiment:  Die cut Basic White with the smallest scalloped die.  Stamp the "Thank you for Everything" sentiment.  Adhere the sentiment to the label with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Embellish with 3 matching In Color Jewels.  Did I tell you these jewels are gorgeous?

What do you think of this Black one?  Kylie made a suggestion at the end of her demo and I had to try it!  On the Black cardstock, I used White Stampin' Embossing Powder as the floral stock and White Stampin' Craft Ink Pad for the solid floral second stamping.  For the second stamping on the custom tag, I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for the outline and stamped off once for the solid flowers.  I used the Black Glitter Organdy Ribbon and Silver Simply Elegant Trim for the ties on the tag.  And to finish it off, I used the Basic Rhinestone Jewels to embellish the sentiment label.

Check it out - my new stamping studio!  It's not quite finished but it's taking shape!  Yippee!!  I'm waiting on a couple of Kallax shelf units, a couple of chairs and some task lights.  We faced the desk this way so hubby can mount a TV on the wall.  I so love watching my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators on YouTube for inspiration.

I'll even have space for video equipment - woohoo!  I'll share more photos when I get closer to completion.

Have a fabulous week enjoying the sunshine and yes rain!  At least it's not snow - lol!

I'm working non stop in the evenings to catalog all my retiring products and prepping a class schedule for the open house on May 15.  Can't wait to see you, my crafting friends!!!

Keep on Crafting!
