Darling Donkeys Valentine's Card

Happy Superbowl!  Who are your cheering for tonight?  I'm cheering for the Chiefs and sadly they are losing.  What a windy day today and a huge temperature swing!  55 this afternoon and 15 at 7:45 pm - wow!  My youngest in New York is getting lots of snow - 14 inches last week and more again today.  My Stampin' Up demonstrator friends in Nebraska have been getting their fair share of snow too.  And dry as a bone here in Frederick, CO.   Wishing for just a little bit of snow.  

Another weekend of making Valentine cards and 3D projects to hold candy for my sweets!  I am prepping for a swap for an upcoming Stampin' Up! team meeting.  I brought out my go to Valentine stamp sets including:  Always in My Heart Bundle, Heartfelt, Lots of Hearts for creations this weekend.  I've been wanting to play with my Darling Donkeys Stamp Set.  I have been cooking up a design for these adorable  free Sale-a-bration stamp set and it came together Friday night.   For Valentine's Day - Donkeys - oh yeah!!!!  

These 3 guys just make me giggle.  Especially the one with the rose in his teeth!  Although, the little guy sitting down reminds me so much of Eeyore - one of my favorite characters from Winnie the Pooh!   I cut the hearts from the red floral paper from the Flower & Field Design Series Paper with a heart from the Many Hearts Die Set.  The DSP is another free product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  The sentiment "sent with love" is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set from the 2020 -  2021 Annual Catalog.  I placed this sentiment onto Basic Black cardstock punched with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.  The little hearts is from the Always in my Heart Stamp Set.  I punched the sweet little flowers from the Small Bloom Punch with Real Red, Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride cardstock.  I colored the largest Pearl Basic Jewels with a Dark Rococo Rose Stampin' Blend marker for the center of the flowers.  I finished up embellishing this adorable Valentine's day care by coloring three small Pearl Basic Jewels and randomly placed in centers of 3 flowers in the middle/lower part of the card front.
