Boho Indigo Pots

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, July 06, 2020
I hope you had a fantastic Happy Fourth of July!  Were you able to watch a city sponsored fireworks  display or did you host your own display?  Or did you enjoy finding peace and quiet amongst all the noise that the fireworks bring?  We spent the holiday with my husband's high school buddies in beautiful Polson, Montana.  The full moon added to the spectacular fireworks that lit up this special town by Flathead Lake.  It's always an amazing experience to be surrounded by all the neighbors putting on their own fireworks displays.  They must discuss weeks in advance before the 4th to plan how they will time their displays just right so that the night seemingly goes on forever!

I was able to sneak in some stamping time while making our way to the Northwest!  I had a great visit with the wives sharing what I have been up to.  I spent yesterday afternoon sharing the Boho Indigo Product Medley with our host family's daughter; teaching her how to stamp some artful "pottery" vases on two cards that she made.

Here is one of my favorite cards the I created using Misty Moonlight cardstock and Misty Moonlight and Cinnamon Cider Stamp Pads.  I added the jade green gems from the Flowers for Every Season Gems embellishment pack, as the jade color was the perfect finishing touch.

Following are the instructions for you to create this card:
  1. Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Score at 4 1/4".  Fold on the 4 1/4" score line.
  2. Scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock (5 1/4" x 4" worked well for 2 vases and 4 flowers if you want to make multiples)
  3. Cut Misty Moonlight cardstock 5 1/4" x 4" and adhere to card front using your favorite adhesive.  I used the new Stampin' Seal adhesive tape.
  4. Cut one of your favorite light to medium blue Boho Indigo Designer Series Paper (DSP) 5" x 3 3/4" and adhere to the card front using your favorite adhesive.
  5. Cut one of your favorite Boho Indigo embossed Very Vanilla DSPs 3" x 4 1/4" and adhere to card front in the upper left corner leaving a small border from the top and left side of the card front using your favorite adhesive.
  6. Cut 4 1/2" piece of Boho Indigo Blue ribbon.  Cut 4 1/2" piece of Boho Indigo Gold ribbon.  Adhere the Gold ribbon to the Blue ribbon using Mini Glue Dots.  Trim each end of the layered ribbon angled to the right.  Adhere to the card front about 1" from the bottom of the 3" x 4 1/4" embossed DSP.
  7. Using the Boho Indigo Stamp Set and Misty Moonlight stamp pad, stamp two sets of the small 3 flower cluster onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, leaving enough space between flowers to die cut in step 9.  On the inside of the card, stamp the flower cluster on the lower right hand corner.  On the middle of the envelope seal or on the lower left front corner of the envelope, stamp the flower cluster.  Stamp the "Thank You" onto the smaller gold folded label with a circle in the middle.
  8. Using Cinnamon Cider stamp pad, stamp your favorite vase from the stamp set onto the same scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock from above, leaving enough room to die cut in upcoming step.
  9. Using the Boho Indigo Die Set, die cut the two stamped flower clusters and the vase from the Very Vanilla Cardstock using the matching dies.
  10. Attach the vase, the 'Thank You" and the two flower clusters to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  11. The final touch - embellish the card front by placing 3 green gems from the Flowers For Every Season Gems embellishment pack using a small dot of glue.  I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
This beautiful blue indigo product medley contains an 11 piece stamp set including 3 different textured vases, a 12 piece die set including additional vases to cut out from whatever your creative mind comes up with, 8 each of 6 - 6" x 6" double sided Designer Series Paper in various shades of Indigo Blue (total of 48 combinations), 2 each of 3 Very Vanilla pre embossed 6" x 6" sheets (total of 6), 2 each of 3 gold foiled die cut sheets, beautiful blue frayed ribbon and a lovely gold ribbon, 10 each in 2 sizes of the cutest white flowers with a bead in each center.  This is a fantastic value!  You will be amazed at how many different combinations that you will be able to put together.  I love how the blue indigo DSP's coordinate so well with the new 2020 In Colors.  There is a refill kit available if you want to make more!

Here are a few more cards I created from this versatile kit.  Which do you like best?

This was an exciting week at Stampin' Up!® with the beginning of Bonus Days and demonstrator preorder from the new August - December 2020 catalog.

Bonus Days began on July 1 and goes through August 3.  For every $50 you order, you will receive a $5 reward certificate to use for your next purchase made during August 4 - August 31  This would be an excellent opportunity to apply to the new August - December 2020 catalog that will be released to customers on August 4 or something special from your wish list of products from the annual 2020 - 2021 catalog.
